Meet our Animals

The animals are what make the farm.  They bring joy to our life and we enjoy seeing them bring joy to others on their special occasion.

Currently at Farr Away Farm we have a donkey, goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and a bunny.

In the future we plan to add sheep, ponies, alpacas, and maybe some mini cows.  So, stay tuned and follow us on our social media platforms for all our animal adventures and updates.

Daniel (Danny)

Donkey

Is our resident Jerusalem donkey.  He is still a baby and a typical young male as he loves to annoy his friends sometimes but he is extremely sweet and loves his goat friends and people.

Benny, Lucy, & Mavis

Goats

These 3 are Nubian goats, which are a large breed dairy goat.  They are nosy, a little mischievous, sweet and love attention.

Charlotte & Wilma

Kunekune piglets

These girls love food and love scratches and belly rubs.  Cutest little piglets.

Elizabeth (Liz)

Lionhead Bunny

She came to us as a rescue.  She is gentle, curious, and sweet.

Clyde

Turkey (male)

Clyde is friendly, nosy and insists on being a part of everything.

Reba & Patty

Turkeys (female)

Clyde's girls.  They are a little shy but love to be near by.

The chicken flock

Mixture of poultry

We have an assortment of chickens and turkeys.  We have chickens that lay an assortment of brown, white, blue, and green eggs.

The duck flock

Ducks

We have an assortment of ducks that is predominately runner ducks with a few others mixed in.

Jack & June

Geese

Jack (white) and June (gray) are the resident pond protectors.  They are great guardians for the duck flock.

Waylon

Beagle

Waylon is full blooded beagle with a less prevalent blue tick variation coloration. He is our resident farm dog and everyone’s best friend.

Emmy

Cowboy Corgi

Emmy is our resident farm dog.  She keeps everyone on the farm in line.  She is sweet but shy.

Cleo & Annie

Barn cats

Cleo and Annie are great at managing the pest on the farm.

Cindy & Mindy

Guinea Pigs

These ladies came to us in need of a new home.  Guinea pigs are naturally skittish, but these girls are curious when you are calm and gentle.

In loving memory of our beloved Russell

Beagle

Russell was the best farm dog.  He was everyone's friend.  And the first to greet new farm friends.  He is greatly missed by all.
